Postcards From Redhook Brewery in Portsmouth,NH?

I received a postcard from this Brewery from someone I know on June 6. The Postage was dated for June 3. The thing is, I think this person actually sent this postcard in March. Does anyone know if the brewery sends these postcards out right away or if it's possible that it could have just sat around for a few months? It's a long story as to why I can't ask the person directly. Any Info would be appreciated. Thank you.
