Child support hearing in another state?

We live all the way in NH and my husband got papers for child support from Texas from his ex whom he has been paying $300 every single month for 11 years for a child she doesn't allow him to see doesnt send photos and he hardly gets to talk to her because she is always with her grandma not his ex. We don't have the funds to get all the way down to Texas. The papers are dated May 13th and the court date is July 13th and he just received them today at work. Is there anything we can do? There is no possible way we can make it there and save the amount of money in such a short time
