Iowa and NH are set to reverse gay marriage bans..Minnesota and NC will ban in 2012?

The important issue is that of States Rights and people having the choice to live in the state that suits their pocket book and lifestyle. Some states - especially in the Bible Belt - view Gay marriage differently and voters support accordingly. The obvious answer is to choose not to live in a conservative state and move to a state that fits ones comfort level.
