How to feed frozen brine shrimp to adf?

i have one adf (getting another today) when i feed my adf brine shrimp, it floats to the top, then it spreads. i left it and went to sleep thinking mr.g (my frog) would eat, but nothing. PLS HELP! I don't want him to starve
